Two Sullivan County men were arrested Friday after Johnson City police released video surveillance images from two automated teller machine burglaries that occurred earlier in the week.

Dakota Gibson, 18, 221 Glenway Road, Bristol, and Tyler Henderson, 19, 3064 Highway 11E, No. 31, Bluff City, were each charged with one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.

Police said the men tried breaking into ATMs at First Tennessee Bank, 2112 N. Roan Street, and Andrew Johnson Bank, 3300 Browns Mill Road, on Wednesday. Both ATMs received extensive damage. The burglars were driving an early 2000 model white Dodge Caravan with grayish/black bumpers.

Both incidents were caught on surveillance video from the banks, and police released images of the alleged burglars on Friday to local media outlets in hopes of public assistance in identification.

Gibson and Henderson were set to appear in Washington County Sessions Court on Monday.
