ROGERSVILLE — A 20-year-old Hawkins County man is facing charges including contributing to the delinquency of a minor after an early morning traffic stop Saturday revealed him to have three 13-year-old girls in his vehicle that he allegedly met on Facebook.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, Hawkins County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Mike Allen stopped a 1988 Honda Civic on Rt. 66-S just north of Bulls Gap on a loud muffler violation.

The driver, Derrick Dalton Goins, 20, 1177 McKinney Chapel Road, Rogersville, opened his driver’s side door as Allen approached, and reportedly openly admitted that Allen would be giving him a ticket for registration violation and no insurance.

Allen stated in his report that he observed three “young girls” in the vehicle.
