Update: Sheriff’s office still searching for wanted man

Jerry Tommy Cummings

Authorities continue to search for Jerry T. Cummings, who eluded officers during a manhunt in Gray on Sunday.

Cummings is wanted on at least one charge of aggravated assault that stems from
an incident around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in which Cummings allegedly pointed a
gun at someone.

During the manhunt, police did find a .357 handgun that had been in Cummings' possession that day, according to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal.

Authorities suspect Cummings is still in the area. They are unsure if he remains armed with other weapons at this point.
