Off the Wall News: Deputy says job applicant passed out on drugs while typing application

ROGERSVILLE — A man typing out a job application at a temporary employment agency in Rogersville Friday morning was allegedly so high on drugs that he fell asleep with his head leaning over the computer keyboard.

Shortly after 10 a.m. Friday Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Stacy Vaughan was dispatched to the “@work” temporary employment office on Rt. 66 in Rogersville on a complaint of a possible intoxicated male.

Vaughan saw a man sitting at a computer used by applicants to fill out their information, with his head down leaning over the keyboard.

The man, later identified as Eric Wayne Gibson, 31, 169 Lakeview Circle, Rogersville, had reportedly come in around 8 a.m. that morning to fill out a job application, @work employees told Vaughan.
