Kingsport brothers accused of kidnapping, assaulting, threatening to kill 75-year-old uncle

KINGSPORT — Two Kingsport brothers are charged with kidnapping their 75-year-old uncle at gunpoint, hitting him in the head with a revolver and threatening to kill him.

One of the brothers reportedly was motivated by a theft in which he was the victim, accusing his uncle of helping orchestrate the alleged crime.

Michael Castle, 48, of 945 New Beason Well Road, and Gary Castle, 40, of 146 New Beason Well Road, Apt. 2, are charged with aggravated domestic assault and aggravated kidnapping. An incident report filed at the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office says the victim called police to his Bancroft Chapel Road home at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday.
