Update: DJ’s items reported stolen after fight with bar personnel

Kevin Moore

A Morristown DJ’s equipment was stolen after an altercation took place at a Johnson City nightclub early Sunday morning, police said.

Johnson City police reports said Kevin K. Moore, 35, who was the DJ for the night at Encore, had an argument with club promoters over payment that turned physical, requiring security to break up the fight at around 3:30 a.m. They said after walking away, he threw a beer bottle at them, hitting 27-year-old Donald R. Singleton on the right side of his head, causing injury.

After attempting to flee, individuals at the bar subdued Moore until police arrived. They brought both Singleton and Moore to Johnson City Medical Center for medical treatment. After Moore was cleared, he was arrested on aggravated assault charges and brought to the Washington County Detention Center.

Moore’s girlfriend, Jennifer O. Allen, 29, told police her 2009 Honda Civic had been burglarized sometime after 4:20 on Sunday morning. Moore’s DJ equipment, including two laptops, an external hard drive, a microphone, headphones, a turntable and mixer were taken along with Allen’s iPhone. The items were being kept in the trunk of the car.

Police said there were no visible signs of forced entry and it appeared as if the car doors had been left unlocked. Since the initial report, Allen’s iPhone had been recovered.
