2 women charged after Johnson County store robbery

Becky Williams and Tabitha Price

MOUNTAIN CITY — Johnson County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested two women Wednesday on charges related to a convenience store robbery.

Tabitha A. Price, 19, Pine Orchard Road, Butler, and Becky Williams, 38, Red Brush Road, Mountain City, were arrested after deputies were called to A to Z market mid-morning.

Sheriff Mike Reece said a 911 caller told dispatchers a woman had removed money from the store's cash register.

The investigation led to Price and Williams, who were arrested in Damascus, Va.  , after a traffic stop. Reece said Damascus police made the traffic stop, and Johnson County investigators went to the location and conducted interviews.

Price was charged with robbery, and Williams was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. Both were held in the Washington County, Va., Regional Jail pending extradition.
