Here are five things to check out this weekend:

• Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site’s 19th annual Stories from the Pumpkin Patch, Saturday, 4-8 p.m. Crafts and games for the children, storytelling, fiddle music, candlelight cave tours, hot dog roast and hayrides. Storytellers including Carolina Quiroga-Hurtado (pictured) and Libby Tipton of the ETSU TaleTellers, and others. $5 for adults, $2.50 for 12 and under. 926-3631



• Jonesborough Chili Cook-Off, Sunday, noon-4 p.m. at Storytelling Park. Individual and team competition, sampling for $5, joke contest, storytelling, craft vendors and live music. Craft beer and food available for purchase. Proceeds will benefit the Jonesborough Area Merchants & Services Assoc. and Jonesborough Area Ministerial Assoc. 753-3819



• Historic Tree Streets Neighborhood Music in the Park will feature The Whiskey Sticks, Sunday, 3-5 p.m. Veterans Park, Southwest Avenue, Johnson City. Bring lawn chair or blanket. Free admission, donations for musicians appreciated. www.tree-streets.com



• Johnson City Civic Choral will present Cathedral Sounds, a program of masterworks for organ and choir, at First Presbyterian Church, 105 S. Boone St., 3 p.m., Sunday. Admission: suggested donation of $10. www.thecivicchorale.org or 638-0409
