Butler man charged with drug offenses

A Butler man was found with marijuana and a scale Thursday, police said.

Johnson City police found Donald Curtiss Jr., 30, 576 Jimmy Hollow Road, Butler, in a “suspicious” vehicle at the Holiday Inn, 101 W. Springbrook Drive on  Thursday with what appeared to be marijuana, a digital scale and other items consistent with the selling of drugs, according to a news release.

Curtiss was charged with possession of schedule VI drugs for resale and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.

He was currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on $11,000 bond.

Curtiss was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Friday.
