Sisters allegedly break into mom’s house and make threats to kill her

CHURCH HILL — Two sisters were charged with aggravated burglary last week after allegedly breaking into their mother’s home and threatening to kill her as she hid in the bathroom.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kenny Lunsford Jr. was dispatched to 1637 Goshen Valley Road south of Church Hill on a complaint of a home invasion in progress.

Carol Derrick, of that address, reportedly told Hawkins County Central Dispatch that her two daughters were breaking into her home. Derrick then stated the sisters had made entry into the home, at which time the phone went dead.
