Johnson City police arrest man wanted for May burglary

Johnson City police Thursday announced the recent arrest of a 44-year-old man charging him with burglarizing an East Fairview Avenue residence in May.

Phillip Lynn Wood, general delivery, Johnson City, was charged him with aggravated burglary resulting from a May 28 burglary at 414 E. Fairview Ave.

Police were called the residence about 3:30 p.m. on May 28, and a witness reported seeing someone in the residence while the resident was away. The victim reported that $700 worth of furniture had been stolen. Police said Wood was later identified as the burglar.

On Sept. 14, police found Wood and arrested him on the warrant resulting from the burglary. He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond and appeared in Sessions Court Sept. 16.
