Nashville man charged with using fake ID at bus station

Jamal Brown

Officers charged a Nashville man with felony false reporting Sunday afternoon after he provided them with a fake identification card, city police said in a news release.

Police said officers were at the Greyhound bus station at 137 W. Market St. looking for a wanted subject when Jamal Brown, 28, 644 Saint Julies Lane, who matched the suspect’s description, approached the bus station.

When police asked Brown for identification, he presented a card that was determined to be fake and could not present other identification, police said.

He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for today at 1:30 p.m. in Sessions Court.
