Aggravated assault charge placed after threat

A city man was charged Saturday with aggravated assault after waving a knife and threatening to stab another man, Johnson City police said in a news release.

William A. Morgan, 33, no address listed, was arrested after officers responded to a call at a man’s home at 3:30 p.m. Police said the man told them Morgan had threatened him with a knife. Morgan had left the residence and was located a short time later, where he was placed into custody.

He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on $25,000 bond. Morgan’s Sessions Court arraignment is set for today at 1:45 p.m.
