BRISTOL –– One of the stars of A&E’s hit TV show “Duck Dynasty” will be stopping in at Viking Hall Civic Center for a fundraising event in October.
According to a city of Bristol news release, Willie Robertson, CEO and partial owner of the duck call company, Duck Commander & Buck Commander, as well as TV personality, businessman, outdoorsman, hunter and author, will appear for a Family Ministries of Greeneville fundraising event on Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.
“We are very excited about having Mr. Robertson coming to Bristol’s Viking Hall and assisting Family Life Ministries in their fundraising efforts,” Darlene Cole, venue manager for the city of Bristol said.
According to the release, Family Life Ministries raising funds for a 10,000-square-foot expansion, which will provide classroom space and counseling facilities for children Family Ministries serve. The projected cost of the expansion project is $1.65 million.
