Alleged laptop computer theft from Elizabethton McDonald's caught on surveillance

This surveillance footage still was captured at the McDonald's in Elizabethton on Broad Street.


ELIZABETHTON — The Elizabethton Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a man who is suspected of stealing a laptop computer from the McDonald's Restaurant on Broad Street shortly after midnight on Aug. 12.



The man carrying a satchel was seen on two security cameras at the restaurant. Detective Joe Harrah is publicizing the photographs in the hope that someone may recognize the man and come forward.



"Any assistance in identifying the suspect in the photos would greatly be appreciated," Harrah said. To provide information, call the police department at 542-4141. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling the Crime Stoppers line at 542-7574.
