Limestone man charged with multiple counts of statutory rape, exploiting 15-year-old girl

A Limestone man was arrested
Tuesday on a multiple charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and statutory
rape for allegedly having sex with a teenage juvenile and having explicit
photos of her on his phone.

Bailey Bridge Rd., Limestone, faces 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor
and eight counts of statutory rape.



The charges involve a
teenager with whom he had sexual intercourse and oral sex several times at
different locations.



In addition to having sex
with the teen when she was 15 and 16 years old, Owens told a Washington County
Sheriff’s investigator that he had received sexually explicit photos from the
girl. According to the arrest warrant, Owens had 10 nude photos of the girl.



Owens also allegedly admitted
that he had texted a photo to the girl of his genitals.



The warrant does not indicate
when the alleged incidents occurred, but Owens was interviewed by an investigator
on Tuesday. The warrant also does not indicate how the two know each other.



Owens
was arraigned on the charges in Washington County General Sessions Court
Wednesday and has an Aug. 14 preliminary hearing. He’s being held on a $100,000
bond.
