5 Out & About Things to Do This Weekend

1. Smokin the Valley Blueberry Festival and Cook-off will be held at Farmhouse Gallery & Gardens, Unicoi, today from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Music by The Twang Bangers, Rhythm Brewers and Ravenwood. Admission: free. Parking: $2. Information: or 743-8787.

2. The first Jonesborough Relay for Life will be held in downtown Jonesborough Saturday from noon to midnight. It’s more than a walk, it’s a celebration, with music by Jonesborough Novelty Band, Under the Table and dance performances by Inner City Ballet Company and Lisa’s School of Dance. 3. The band Chicago and Gavin DeGraw close Fun Fest Saturday with a concert at 6:30 p.m. at J. Fred Johnson Stadium in Kingsport. Information:

4. Music on the Square features guitarist Lefty Williams tonight at 7. Williams will perform on the courthouse steps in historic downtown Jonesborough. Admission: free, but donations welcome. Information:

5. “Liberty!” the Official Outdoor Drama of the State of Tennessee continues its run tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Watauga Amphitheater at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area, 1651 W. Elk Ave., in Elizabethton. Tickets: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for students. Children ages 5 and younger admitted free. Information: 543-5808.
