KINGSPORT — Kingsport Police Department Sgt. David Moore said no injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 26, which involved an overturned tractor-trailer blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic Saturday morning.

I-26 was shut down for 2½ hours and traffic was re-routed after the driver of a tractor-trailer reported hearing a loud pop before the trailer began to swerve.

“Both the vehicle and trailer fell over onto the passenger side,” Moore said.

The tractor trailer reportedly slid 250 feet and damaged 50 feet of guardrail near mile marker seven.
