Performers at Jonesborough Repertory Theatre

1. Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area, Elizabethton, will host a 19th-century Independence Celebration and Muster Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Information: 543-5808

2. Dancing with the Tri-Cities Stars, which benefits SteppenStone Youth Treatment Services, will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport. Information:

3. Johnson City Community Theatre,  600 E. Maple St., brings its run of “Maggie’s Getting Married” to a close with shows tonight and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets: $12 for adults, $10 for students, seniors and active military members. Information: 926-2542 or

4. Movies on Main returns to downtown Jonesborough’s Main Street Saturday 8:45 p.m. with “The Smurfs.” Admission: free, but canned food donations will be accepted for the Jonesborough food pantry. Information: 913-2663.

5. Jonesborough Repertory Theatre, 125½ Main St., Jonesborough, continues its run of  the 1940s USO Show today at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 1, 4 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $14 general admission; $12 for seniors ages 65 and older and students. Information: 753-1010 or
