• TBI investigating death of Washington County jail inmate. An inmate in the Washington County Detention Center being held on a weapons charge was found hanging in his cell Monday, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.


• Child, 3, found wandering partially clothed in rain in downtown Johnson City. A 3-year-old Johnson City boy found walking in the rain alone and wearing only a T-shirt Tuesday was returned to his father and there are no charges at this time.


• Elizabethton Twins bus involved in fatal crash in Florida. ELIZABETHTON — A charter bus carrying the Elizabethton Twins baseball team from its training facilities in Florida to Elizabethton was involved in a fatal crash early Tuesday morning near Jacksonville. No one aboard the bus was injured, according to early reports.å


• Caught on Video: 2 men charged with breaking window at downtown Johnson City music store. Two Johnson City men were arrested early Tuesday morning on charges they vandalized a downtown music store based on video surveillance evidence, police said.


• Walters uses golf to amaze, inspire. Dennis Walters always figured he’d be on tour hitting golf balls, but his career took an unexpected turn years ago and it changed the focus of his tour.


• One-pot meth bottle found in Carter County creek. ELIZABETHTON — A plastic bottle believed to have been used to manufacture methamphetamine was found in a creek over the weekend.


• Johnson City start of dreams for new Cards. If the current trend holds true, area fans will see some pretty good baseball players during this summer’s Appalachian League season.


• Man accused of pulling gun in confrontation near downtown Johnson City restaurant. A man was arrested after he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman who in return pulled a knife on him while he was walking back to a Johnson City bar around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to court documents.
