Ronald J. Collins
A Johnson City man charged back in April with trespassing was charged with possession of drugs Friday after a substance found on him at the time was tested and found to be methamphetamine, according to court documents.
Ronald J. Collins, 37, 130 Wichita St., was charged Friday with schedule II drug violation.
He was originally charged with aggravated trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia resulting from and encounter with police on April 10.
At the time he was found at 830 Pardee St., sitting on the porch.
He was served with a warrant for trespassing, but the court documents did not give specifics on that charge.
While being searched, a syringe and a bottle with an unknown cloudy liquid in it was found on him, according to the court documents.
That liquid was sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for testing. The results recently revealed that liquid was 12.73 grams of methamphetamine.
Collins was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
He was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Monday.
