Part of East Oakland and East Watauga avenues in Johnson City were closed Sunday because of a two-vehicle crash in the area, according to emergency radio traffic. The crash was reported at 2:46 p.m. and involved a pickup truck running a red light and striking a minivan, Johnson City police said.

Police said one person sustained minor and non-life threatening injuries and was transported for treatment.

Also, a fire hydrant was damaged and poles are being repaired because the wreck knocked out the red light at the intersection, according to JCPD Sgt. Reggie Sparks.
