Kingsport police seeks suspect in church burglary

KINGSPORT — Kingsport police are searching for a suspect they say is wanted in connection with the burglary of a church last month and at least one other city residence.

According to the Kingsport Police Department, investigators identified Jeremy Stout, 28, last known address 1006 Laurelwood Drive, Kingsport, as a suspect in three break-ins, including one that took place May 20 at Holy Mountain Baptist Church.

Authorities said they identified Stout as the main suspect in the break-ins after droplets of blood were found near broken glass at the church, which is located on Ashley Street.
