KNOXVILLE — In-car video and audio show three now-former Knoxville officers beating a homeless man in February after they were called to the scene for help by two female officers.

Knoxville Police Department Chief David Rausch played video and audio today at a news conference at KPD’s training center. Mayor Madeline Rogero also was present at the conference.

One of the three officers slammed Michael Allen Mallicoat against a car hood several times. An officer kicked him and an officer stood on him.
