A South Carolina man was charged Tuesday with being the second man involved in a home invasion robbery from back in March.
Johnson City police charged James Lee Burnside, of 106 Panorama Ct., Greenville, S.C., with aggravated robbery.
Burnside is one of two men arrested in connection to the home invasion, according to a police report.
Geraldo Andre Soto, 31, 1824 Mary St., was also arrested a few days after the robbery occurred.
On March 23, the residents of a home on West Pine Street let Soto enter the home because they were acquaintances.
Shortly after Soto entered, Burnside entered the home, too.
According to the report, Burnside had a shotgun and hit one of the residents in the face with the stock of the gun and threatened the life of a second occupant.
A wallet, $200, iPhone, flip phone and Fentanyl patches were reported stolen during the robbery.
Burnside was developed as a suspect and the victim reportedly picked him out of a photo line-up as the second person who entered the home.
Burnside was being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in the Washington County General Session Court on June 5 for an arraignment.comments powered by Disqus
