The Bristol Public Library is partnering with East Tennessee State University’s Bristol Family Medicine Residency and Wellmont Health System to bring a comprehensive health education series to the Tri-Cities.

The series will take place at the Bristol Public Library at 7pm on the second Thursday of every month, beginning in April. These public forums will feature outstanding speakers from our region to discuss a wide range of important issues in health, including specific diseases such as cancer and diabetes, and public health concerns. Following each presentation will be a question and answer session.

Dr. Sue Prill of the Wellmont Cancer Institute will lead the discussion at the third event Thursday, June 13thwith the topic of Breast Cancer.

Dr. Prill earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She also completed her internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

The bond she gets to create with patients is one of the reasons Dr. Prill enjoys being an oncologist. She feels honored to take care of her patients and their families during a very trying time in their lives. She experiences the ups and downs right along with her patients and their families, friends and support groups. Wellmont Medical Associates offers some of the region's most skilled and compassionate medical experts, with access to the region's most advanced cancer treatment technologies and best cancer treatment centers through the Wellmont Cancer Institute.

So, join us for this informative and educational series Thursday, June 13th at 7pm in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room at the Bristol Public Library. This series is Free to the Public.
