KNOXVILLE - A judge today ensured 2007 torture-slaying defendant George Thomas will die in prison for his crimes.
Senior Judge Walter Kurtz sentenced Thomas to consecutive life terms — one for the death of Channon Christian and one for the death of Chris Newsom.
