Jonesborough man charged with Johnson City burglary

Christopher Lee Saults

A Jonesborough man recently was charged with a west Johnson City residential burglary.

Christopher Lee Saults, 31, 200 Miller Road, Jonesborough, was charged Saturday with aggravated burglary and theft of property under $500.

Johnson City police said Saults' arrest resulted from an investigation into an April 16 burglary at 104 S. North St.

At the time, Jonathan Branson told police he came home to see some friends in a car pulling out of his driveway and found that his back door had been kicked in. His 32-inch television had been taken. A neighbor also told police his son had seen a man carrying something with a cord through a field behind the house toward McKinley Road, according to a police report.

Saults was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $21,000 bond and arraigned Monday in Sessions Court.
