Kingsport bail bondsman charged with burglary

Allyn Hood

KINGSPORT — The owner of a Kingsport bail bond business was arrested over the weekend, charged with aggravated burglary after allegedly entering and searching a home without consent.

But Allyn Hood, 57, says the resident granted permission to enter the mobile home,  immediately following the death of one of his relatives who owned the property. Hood, of A-Hood Bonding on Clay Street, was arrested Sunday afternoon, booked into the city jail and later released.

According to an arrest report at the Kingsport Police Department, shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday police were called to a mobile home at 117 Gravely Road. A resident claimed that Hood had entered his home without permission approximately 21 hours earlier, while "demanding" to know if a female had brought anything to the location.
