Asylum decision and more letters in Wednesday's Forum

Is there no end to the hypocrisy in the Obama regime? It will move heaven and earth to get amnesty passed so millions of illegal immigrants who came here across our borders will be granted citizenship with all the benefits that come with that at the taxpayers’ expense. And some of these who came here through illegal means are members of terrorist organizations, such as Hamas and Hezbollah. And that is a proven fact.
And now, we have a family from Germany who came to America and did everything the right way. Evangelical Christians Uwe and Hannelore Romeike wanted to home-school their six children, but it is against the law in Germany. They faced threats of legal action from the government and crippling fines before choosing to immigrate to the United States in 2010, seeking political asylum.
U.S. Immigration Judge Lawrence Burman granted the Romeikes’ request, but it was overturned in 2012 by the Board of Immigration Appeals when the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement challenged the decision.
The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the Obama administration’s denial of asylum granted to the Romeike family. The ruling states that “the Romeikes (have) not shown that Germany’s enforcement of its general school-attendance law amounts to persecution against them, whether on grounds of religion or membership in a recognized social group.”
The parents could face jail time if forced to return to Germany from their home outside of Knoxville. But Obama will fight hard to grant citizenship to people who came here illegally and potentially mean great harm to this country and her people.
Where is the justice in this?
