Wanted man arrested in Limestone; woman charged with obstruction

Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a Johnson City man wanted on several charges Tuesday and also charged a woman with obstructing his arrest.


Lamont Veatch, 38, 510 E. Fairview Ave., was found at 916 Bowmantown Road in the Limestone area, Sheriff Ed Graybeal said.


Veatch was wanted on a parole violation warrant; a capias for failure to appear on driving on a suspended license, speeding and financial responsibility; a capias for failure to appear on driving on revoked license; and an attachment for contempt from Chancery Court for child support.


Also arrested was Carla Devoti, 38, of the Bowmantown Road address, on a charge of obstruction of service of legal writ/process.


Veatch was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center without bond for the parole violation, $15,000 bond for the capias and $5,306.12 cash bond for the attachment for contempt.


Devoti also was held at the Detention Center on $1,000 bond.


Both were set to appear in Sessions Court today.
