Kingsport woman sentenced in Mace attack on mother-in-law

ROGERSVILLE — A Kingsport woman who attacked her mother-in-law with Mace earlier this year, which caused the chemicals to get on her four children as well, accepted a plea bargain Monday to avoid felony prosecution.

Priscilla Jean Hinkle, 31, 103 Fairfax Road, Kingsport, was originally charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated domestic assault and four counts of child endangerment in connection with the March 3 incident.

She was sentenced Monday to 220 days in jail and fined a total of $400 in exchange for guilty pleas on the reduced charges of aggravated criminal trespass, domestic assault, a single count of attempted child neglect and one additional count of telephone harassment that had been filed separately as a private prosecution by her ex-husband.
