Update: Most CenturyLink subscribers service restored after disruption

Customers of communications provider CenturyLink had experienced a disruption in service this morning, but according to city officials around 1 p.m. the service had been restored.
CenturyLink provides phone, television and Internet service in Tennessee and many other states. Some customers were without service Tuesday morning.
According to an update from a CenturyLink spokesperson, most customers had service restored by noon.
Washington County/Johnson City's emergency 911 website, as well as service to the City of Johnson City were both been affected by the outage. Internet service at the George P. Jaynes Justice Center in Jonesborough was also not working Tuesday morning.
A CenturyLink representative apologized for the inconvenience and said every effort was made to restore service as soon as possible.
