2 Knoxville teens arrested after armed robberies, chase, police dog's bite

KNOXVILLE — Two teenage suspects are facing multiple charges after an alleged armed robbery spree and police pursuit in West Knox County on Monday night that ultimately ended with a K-9’s bite.

Detectives already were investigating a report by two women who were robbed of their purses at gunpoint around 9:45 p.m. outside Brendon Park Apartments, 9118 Grayland Drive, in West Knoxville, according to arrest warrants.

Less than an hour later, at 10:34 p.m., a resident reported that an armed man, who matched the earlier suspect’s description, attempted to rob him while he was carrying groceries in from his vehicle at Sunchase Apartments, 790 N. Cedar Bluff Road, the warrants state.
