2 killed in East Tennessee crash on I-81

WHITE PINE — A single-vehicle crash Thursday night on Interstate 81 in Jefferson County claimed the lives of two people and left a third injured.

The crash of the 2004 GMC Yukon bearing Pennsylvania license plates was reported at 11:39 p.m. Thursday, according to a report filed by Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremy Shelton. The wreck occurred at the 3 mile marker on southbound I-81 near White Pine.

Killed in the crash were driver Julio Armando Anleu, 63, of New Castle, Pa., and passenger Gracia Isolda Anleu, 94, of Metairie, La., according to Shelton’s report. Injured was passenger Edda Anleu, 69.
