A Johnson City man was arrested Thursday following an investigation into missing cash payments from a local auto parts business that occurred in October, according to a police news release.
According to the release, William Henry, 22, Osprey Point, was charged after it was reportedly discovered he was keeping the cash payments from his former employer, NAPA Auto Parts.
Police said more than $2,000 was taken in cash payments from the business, and Henry was reportedly terminated from NAPA for unrelated circumstances.
He was charged with theft/embezzlement over $1,000 and was being held on $10,000 bond in the Washington County Detention Center. Henry is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court on Monday at 9 a.m.
