Johnson City woman charged in connection to cashed stolen check

A Johnson City woman was charged with theft and forgery offenses Wednesday, according to police.
Johnson City police charged Vanessa Dawn Eggers, 36, 815 Dyer St., with one count each of forgery, theft of property over $1,000 and theft of property under $500.
In a news release, police said a stolen check cashed at Regions Bank on Watauga Avenue on Jan. 14 led to the charges against Eggers.
She was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $12,000 bond.
Her hearing was scheduled for today in Sessions Court.
