KNOXVILLE — Authorities have found a Knox County public schools bus that was missing when the driver awakened for her job.
The 72-passenger bus was recovered Wednesday morning in Anderson County. Bus 117 was reported stolen around 6:30 a.m. from the driver's home.
Knox County schools spokeswoman Melissa Ogden told the Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/W3uv9o ) an alternative bus made the morning run to pick up students for Northwest Middle School and Norwood Elementary School.
Ogden said the theft of a school bus is highly unusual.
