A Johnson City man was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into the theft of two power tools at a local business, according to a police news release.
According to the release, Matthew Kristopher Young, 35, 2560 Plymouth Road, Apt. 500, was charged with one count of theft of property over $500 after he allegedly stole two power tools from Lowe’s Home Improvement, 180 Marketplace Blvd.
The power tools had a combined value of $539.
Young was taken to Washington County Detention Center and was being held on $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court today at 1:30 p.m.
