Johnson City police early this morning arrested a 19-year-old man and a juvenile on charges that they burglarized an east Johnson City residence.
Police said witnesses saw Devonte Morrison, 306 Peach Blossom Court, and the juvenile, whose name was not released, carrying property out of the residence.
Some stolen property was found in Morrison's home.
Both were charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property over $1,000.
Morrison was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $60,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance today.
The juvenile was taken to the Upper East Tennessee Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
In July, Morrison was charged with vandalism and theft stemming from damage at a local grocery store.
Johnson City police said someone saw Morrison running from vending machines at Food City, 2120 South Roan St., just after 5 a.m. on July 18. The machines appeared to have been recently damaged, according to a police news release.
Morrison was found a short distance from Food City and reportedly admitted to police he damaged the machines and also threw a fire extinguisher through a window at the gas station adjacent to Food City.
