A tip about a meth lab led to the arrest of a girlfriend and boyfriend at a Johnson City hotel room Tuesday night, according to police.
Johnson City police got a tip about a possible meth lab at Super 8 Hotel, 108 Wesley St., Tuesday, according to a news release and a police report.
Officers went to the hotel to “conduct a knock and talk,” according to the report. Brandy Foster, 27, 310 W. Chestnut St., told police the room was in her name and also gave police permission to search.
Investigators found multiple components commonly used to make methamphetamine. Foster’s boyfriend, Zachary Stokes, 26, 119 Opie Arnold Road, Limestone, was also in the room according to the news release.
Both were charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture.
Foster and Stokes were being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bonds. They were scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Wednesday morning.
