Two barns burned to the ground in Boones Creek early this morning.
Reports of fire at the barns, located side-by-side near Pickens Bridge Road and Lester Heights Road, came in around 12 a.m. Friday, according to a 911 dispatcher.
Volunteer firefighters fought the blaze all night long.
Hay bales appeared to have been stored in at least one barn.
Nothing was left standing by daybreak. The ashes of the barns were still smoldering as of 10 a.m. Friday.
The road near the barns was closed while firefighters worked.
