Armed man report in Gray trailer park leads to 3 arrests

Reports of an armed man in a Gray trailer park led Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies to arrest two men on drug and weapons charges and a woman on a drug-related charge, Sheriff Ed Graybeal announced Thursday in a news release.
James W. Mills Jr., 32, 269 Dogwood Lane, Lot No. 18; Aaron L. Frazier, 27, 348 ½ Virgil Ave., Kingsport; and Tiffany M. Frazier, 19, 1841 Sweetbriar St., Kingsport; were arrested Wednesday after deputies were sent to 269 Dogwood Lane off the Kingsport Highway in northern Washington County on a call of a man with a gun walking around and acting strangely in the area.
Investigators found Aaron Frazier and Tiffany Frazier sitting in a vehicle. Aaron Frazier matched the description of the armed man, and a black BB gun was found in the vehicle. Investigators also discovered hypodermic needles and spoons with drug residue on them in Tiffany Frazier’s purse, according to the release.
According to court records, Aaron Frazier told the investigators that the man he was staying with had drugs and firearms in his residence.
Graybeal said the investigators contacted Mills at his trailer, and a search of his residence resulted in the discovery of a .22 caliber derringer. They also found two bags of a crystalline substance and numerous small red baggies. Investigators thought the substance was epsom salts packaged to look like either cocaine or methamphetamine, according to court documents.
Mills admitted to possession of the gun. Mills is a convicted felon on state probation, Graybeal said in the release.
Both men had outstanding warrants — a warrant from Washington County for Mills and a warrant from Sullivan County for Aaron Frazier.
All three were arrested and jailed in the Washington County Detention Center.
Mills was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, violation of probation and possession of a counterfeit substance. His bond was set at $16,000. Aaron Frazier was charged with possession of counterfeit substance and possession of a prohibited weapon. His bond was set at $11,000. Tiffany Frazier was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $1,000.
All three were set to appear Thursday in Sessions Court.
