KINGSPORT — A Friday morning three-vehicle collision on West Stone Drive rolled a minivan and sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. on West Stone Drive, at the intersection with Fairview Avenue. Kingsport Police Officer Dustin Jackson reports a Chevrolet Uplander was attempting to turn left onto Fairview from eastbound Stone Drive.
According to witness statements, the driver of the Uplander had a green ball but no arrow, and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The driver reportedly pulled into the path of a Chevy Express van traveling west on Stone Drive, forcing the van to strike the Uplander's passenger side.
