Update: Woman accused of embezzling from Johnson City grocery

Johnson City police arrested a grocery store clerk after management said she voided sales and took money from the register.
Lynn Cunningham, 62, 114 Buford Whitson Road, was arrested after an investigation into allegations at Price Less Foods, 1950 S. Roan St., that she had embezzled money while she was working.
She’s charged with theft of property over $1,000.
According to a police report, the store was missing around $200, but planned to review security camera footage to determine exactly how much money was taken.
The report indicates the thefts started around Sept. 15 and the last known incident was on Nov. 15.
Cunningham told police the allegations were not true.
Cunningham was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond. She has a court hearing next week in Sessions Court.
