A man employed as a security officer at a Johnson City bar was charged Wednesday with an assault from early October at the bar, according to a news release.
Johnson City police charged Jacob M. Cole, 28, 113 W. Holston Ave., with aggravated assault stemming from the Oct. 6 assault that put the victim in the intensive care unit at Johnson City Medical Center.
The assault happened at Club 112, located at 112 Tipton St., according to the release.
Police said Cole was working as a security officer at the club when he assaulted the victim, who was not named.
He was charged with aggravated assault.
Cole was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $50,000.
He was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Thursday.
