A Jonesborough man was charged in an incident where another man was struck in the head with a beer bottle, according to a news release.
Johnson City police were called to 616 North Barton St. around 9:30 Saturday night to investigate a fight.
While there, officers learned of the assault with the beer bottle and charged Ryan Hughes-Gunn, of 105 Popular Drive, Jonesborough, with one count of aggravated assault.
He was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
His hearing was scheduled for Monday in Sessions Court.
