Police checking out a threat complaint found marijuana for resale and charged two Johnson City men with drug and weapons charges.
Johnson City police Monday went to Princeton Greens Apartments, 302 Princeton Road, No. 24, to follow up on an earlier report about a threat and when the door to the apartment was opened, a “strong odor of marijuana” came from the apartment.
A subsequent search of the apartment lead to officers locating about 64 grams of marijuana, a loaded pistol, drug paraphernalia, several boxes of ammunition, several plastic baggies and over $5,000 in cash.
Thomas Garrett Workman, 18, and Tonio Alberto Jose Regalado, 19, both of the apartment searched, were each charged with being in possession of marijuana for resale.
Both men were being held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
They were scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Wednesday.
