Two charged with felony shoplifting at JC mall on Black Friday

A Black Friday trip to Johnson City's mall landed two area residents in jail after they left a big-box store without paying for merchandise, according to police.
Kyle T. Gorley, 41, 1010 Phillip Drew Drive, Johnson City, and Patricia E. Dingus, 59, 1857 Pittstown Road, Bristol, Va., were each charged with felony shoplifting.
Police said Gorley and Dingus left J.C. Penney in the Mall at Johnson City without paying for $630 in merchandise.
Each was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday.
