Partial results for key legislative races in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Here's a list of vote margins in key legislative races in early returns in Tuesday's election in the Tennessee General Assembly.

SENATE:

District 10 with 85 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Todd Gardenhire had 32,111 votes or 53 percent compared with Democrat Andrae' McGary's 28,907 votes or 47 percent.

District 16 with 54 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Janice Bowling had 31,175 votes or 63 percent compared with Democrat Jim Lewis's 18,133 votes or 37 percent.

District 20 with 19 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Steve Dickerson had 31,804 votes or 54 percent compared with Democrat Phillip North's 26,964 votes or 46 percent.

District 22 with 72 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Mark Green had 26,459 votes or 53 percent compared with incumbent Democrat Tim Barnes had 23,508 or 47 percent.

District 24 with 77 percent of precincts reporting: Republican John Stevens had 33,164 votes or 57 percent compared with Democrat Brad Thompson's 24,852 votes or 42 percent.

District 28 with 100 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Joey Hensley had 37,351 votes or 55 percent compared with Democrat Tyler "Ty" Cobb's 30,363 or 45 percent.

HOUSE:

District 13 with 100 percent of precincts reporting: Democrat Gloria Johnson has 9,763 votes or 48 percent compared to Republican Gary Loe's 9,368 votes or 46 percent. Independent Nick Cazana has 1,056 votes or 5 percent.

District 33 with 92 percent of precincts reporting: Incumbent Republican John D. Ragan has 12,296 votes or 52 percent compared with Democrat Jim Hackworth's 11,476 votes or 48 percent.

District 43 with 30 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Robert Dunham has 6,668 votes or 51 percent compared to incumbent Democrat Charles Curtiss' 6,529 votes or 49 percent.

District 50 with 45 percent of precincts reporting: Democrat Bo Mitchell has 8,991 votes or 51 percent compared with Republican Charles Williamson's 8,739 votes or 49 percent.

District 53 with 62 percent of precincts reporting: Democrat Jason Powell has 7,438 or 56 percent compared with Republican Ben Claybaker's 5,796 votes or 44 percent.

District 60 with 59 percent of precincts reporting: Democrat Darren Jernigan had 7,747 votes or 51 percent compared with incumbent Republican Jim Gotto's 7,394 votes or 48 percent.

District 76 with 57 percent of precincts reporting: Incumbent Republican Andy Holt has 7,384 votes or 56 percent compared with Democrat Mark L. Maddox's 5,877 votes or 44 percent.

District 92 with 97 percent of precincts reporting: Republican Billy Spivey has 12,981 votes or 61 percent compared to Democrat Vicki C. Cain's 8,474 votes or 40 percent.
